Hey y'all!
I've pumped up the volume on my blog and also started another new blog.
The first one- http://www.marycartledgehayes.blogspot.com -is an ongoing chat. Topics include mail art, fiber art, writing, grammar and punctuation, native species awareness and whatever else is going on in my life.
The second- http://www.hotflashfan.blogspot.com -- began with a tight focus: to document the history of the first major piece of art about menopause in the United States. Designed by Ann Stewart Anderson and facilitated by Judy Chicago, Hot Flash Fan was completed in 1985 and is on exhibit through August 10 in Louisville. I set up the blog to help track down the 50-odd participating artists, because I think it's important that the women who together created this monumental (8' by 16')not be lost. The blog expanded -- no surprise there -- and now includes postings about other women's art and links to sites important to women artists and the people who love them.
Pop on by one or both of the blogs. Check them out. Subscribe. Tell all of your friends. And keep in touch.
